Your Success - Who is responsible?



This week is all about ‘not giving up’.  

We are almost at the end of term one and we thought this was the perfect time to chat about what to do when things get hard!

Watch the videos before answering the prompts. They may help develop your thinking around having the ‘courage to continue’.
1. "Failures open the doors to success!" Tell us about a time when you failed with something?

I got second place in soccer



2. Tell us about a time when you had success? What did you do to achieve success?
we won a soccer tournament because we never gave up  


3. We are responsible for our own success and learning. Do you agree or disagree and why? I'll have success because i do it my self



4. What is a challenge you have faced this year? Explain what happened.



5. There's no such thing as an overnight success. What does this mean? Do you agree and why?

I failed at a game.



2. Tell us about a time when you had success? What did you do to achieve success?
Most times i play video games.


3. We are responsible for our own success and learning. Do you agree or disagree and why?I agree because we choose what we do and how we do it.



4. What is a challenge you have faced this year? Explain what happened.

Trying to make friends because everyone hates me for some reason.



5. There's no such thing as an overnight success. What does this mean? Do you agree and why?
I do because you have to work for what you get in life.


6. Why do we give up? What can we do to avoid giving up in the future? Who can help us?

We do not need someone o help us as we our in dependent workers.



7. "If you do what is easy, your life will be hard." What is this trying to tell us?

It is trying to say don't do the easy things because there easy do hard things to help you improve. 



8. Inner confidence and self-belief are the keys to success. Do you agree or disagree and why?
Yes because if you dont believe in your self you will get no where

My family history

My family history   Man down man down we gotta save him. My father who is a great man and is in the army has done many great things for this country. He was born in Fiji and raised in Fiji and he came to New zealand in 2006 when my Mum and brother was still in Fiji.Soon my Mum came to NZ in a plane in 2007. My Mum is a nurse and has saved many people before.My dad soon left the army and got a new job  he works in the company Fletcher and is now the manager of the company. When my brother was growing up he was really into rugby he was so into rugby that he couldn’t miss a super rugby and still can’t miss any.He now goes to Papanui High and is 17. equipment:basketball Step1 Start dribbling slowly with the basketball Step2 As you get closer to the hoop dribble faster Step3 When you get close enough to the hoop take 2 quick medium steps with each foot Step4 Release the ball when your hand is close enough to the corner of the square 1) what has your level of enjoyment been throughout the writing/imovie process? e.g not my thing. It was okay. I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it. I loved it. I enjoyed it 2) what were the challenges in working with a partner or in a group. getting the shots in 3) If you were to make another imovie, what would you do differently? maybe talk louder 4) Give three helpful tips to someone new to imovie.
